Nomination for Family Law Awards

I was delighted to find out this week that I have been nominated for the award of ‘Family Law Chartered Legal Executive’ awarded by the judges for the Family Law Awards 2019.

The Family Law Awards were created to appreciate and recognise the importance of the work we do as family lawyers, and also to celebrate some of our industry’s most note-worthy achievements. Being shortlisted for the Chartered Legal Executive award really means a lot to me as a professional lawyer, as the award has been created to “recognise individuals who the family law community recognise as having demonstrated excellence in their role.” I’m looking forward to November, when I’ll find out whether I’ve won this prestigious accolade at the awards ceremony in London.

The shortlist was decided by a judging panel that included some of the heads of the Family Law Bar Association (FLBA), Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, along with Family Law editors and publishing executives. The award for Family Law Chartered Legal Executive of the Year (along with the award for Family Law Commentator of the Year) was voted for by the family law community. Voting has been under way online to pick a winner from a shortlist of four nominees which have been selected by the judges.

The Family Law Awards 2019 event will be held on Wednesday 27 November at The Ballroom South Bank, one of the most exclusive event venues in London. I feel very honoured and privileged to be a part of the event, which has been established for 9 years, and regarded by the legal community as a highly prestigious event. It’s exciting for me, personally, but also great to be a part of an event that celebrates the success and achievements of family lawyers and the vital contribution that they make to society.

The results will be announced in November; I’ll let you know if I am the lucky winner of this year’s award as soon as I find out.
